Two Industry Standards for Sewing Machinery Approved and Released

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued Announcement No. 28 and Announcement No. 39 of 2024. Among them, two industry standards, "Industrial Sewing Machines - Blind Stitch Sewing Machines" and "Computer-Controlled Button Attaching and Riveting Machines," under the purview of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Sewing Machinery (SAC/TC152), were officially approved and released. With the release of these standards, the number of currently effective standards in the sewing machinery industry has reached 206. Among these, 188 standards fall under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Sewing Machinery, including 12 national standards and 176 industry standards. The Electrical Systems Branch of the Sewing Machinery Committee oversees 8 standards, including 2 national standards and 6 industry standards. Additionally, there are 10 association group standards.

In the next step, the Secretariat of the Technical Committee will organize relevant units to produce promotional videos for the standards. This initiative aims to help enterprises promptly and accurately understand and grasp the requirements of the newly released standards, accelerate their implementation, and thereby promote technological advancement and product quality improvement in the industry.
