The Specialized Industry Vocational Skills Evaluation Successfully Held in Hefei

To promote the development of skilled talent in the industry and enhance the skill levels of practitioners, the China Sewing Machinery Association, in collaboration with the Anhui Machinery Association, held the first vocational skills evaluation for sewing machinery assembly and debugging technicians January 15, 2025 in Hefei. Thirty participants from clothing and equipment companies in the Hefei area, including Anhui Xiangtai, Xiuqi, Huaqi Sewing, Hefei Brothers, Suzhou Zhonghao, and Fuyang Aihua, took part in the vocational competency evaluation.

The evaluation covered two levels: advanced technician and technician. According to the national occupational standards for "Sewing Machinery Assembly and Debugging Technicians" and the relevant requirements of the China Light Industry Council, the evaluation for advanced technicians consisted of a theoretical exam and a practical skills assessment. For technicians, an additional comprehensive defense session was included. Both the theoretical exam and practical skills assessment required a score of 60 or above (out of 100), and the comprehensive defense needed to be approved by at least two-thirds of the industry expert panel. After a full day of rigorous and efficient assessment, the evaluation event was successfully completed, with all candidates demonstrating excellent professional demeanor and skill levels.

According to the association's work plan, in 2025, the association will further strengthen collaboration with local associations and key enterprises, continue to optimize the vocational training and evaluation system, and enhance the development of skilled talent in the industry.
