Chairman Yang Xiaojing Attends Opening Ceremony of 2026 South China International Sewing Machinery Exhibition

On March 25, the 2026 Greater Bay Area International Intelligent Textile & Garment Industry Equipment Exhibition, the Shoe Machinery & Materials Industry Equipment Exhibition, the South China International Sewing Machinery Exhibition, and the Greater Bay Area International Embroidery & Printing Industry Exhibition grandly opened at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Houjie, Dongguan. Yang Xiaojing, Chairman of the China Sewing Machinery Association, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and deliver a speech.

The exhibition is jointly organized by the Guangdong Sewing Equipment Chamber of Commerce, the Guangdong Shoe Machinery Association, and Xuntong Exhibition Company, among others. Lasting three days, this year’s event spans 50,000 square meters, bringing together more than 500 domestic and international brands and attracting tens of thousands of professional buyers and procurement delegations. Centered on the theme “Smart Manufacturing Ecosystem · Connecting the World,” the exhibition leverages the region’s strong industrial foundation and well-developed supply chain, serving the Greater Bay Area while reaching both domestic and international markets, and injecting strong momentum into the development of related industries both regionally and nationwide.

Attendees at the opening ceremony included Yang Xiaojing, Chairman of the China Sewing Machinery Association; Xie Weidong, Party Secretary of Houjie Town, Dongguan; Chen Guoliang, President of the Dongguan Council for the Promotion of International Trade; Liang Foxiang, Chairman of the Guangdong Sewing Equipment Chamber of Commerce; Zhan Ming, President of the Guangdong Shoe Machinery Association; Liu Suilong, President of the Guangdong Shoe Materials Industry Association; and Khin Khin Kyi of the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association, along with representatives from sewing equipment, textile and garment, and footwear associations and chambers of commerce, as well as enterprise representatives from China and abroad. The ceremony was hosted by Shao Lishi, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the Guangdong Sewing Equipment Chamber of Commerce.

In his speech, Chairman Yang Xiaojing, on behalf of the China Sewing Machinery Association, extended warm congratulations on the successful opening of the exhibition. He noted that the integrated staging of the four exhibitions, rooted in the Greater Bay Area and reaching global markets, embodies national strategies such as strengthening manufacturing, quality, talent, and the Digital China initiative. It also reflects the “15th Five-Year Plan” orientation of the sewing machinery industry toward deep integration of informatization and industrialization, once again demonstrating the resilience and innovative vitality of Chinese manufacturing.

Yang pointed out that amid profound adjustments in the global economy, traditional manufacturing faces new challenges, while high-end equipment and intelligent manufacturing are presented with new opportunities. As the “equipment core” of the textile and garment industry chain, the sewing machinery sector stands ready to work together with partners across textile and garment, shoe machinery, and materials industries—taking high-end manufacturing as the direction to overcome core technologies, using intelligent transformation to empower industrial upgrading, and embracing green and low-carbon development to fulfill sustainability responsibilities—continuously advancing toward higher-end, smarter, and greener development.

He expressed the hope that all stakeholders across the industry chain would take the exhibition as a platform to showcase strengths, deepen cooperation, and open new horizons, working together to promote high-quality development of the industry.

During the exhibition, Chairman Yang Xiaojing also visited booths of several key industry enterprises, gaining an in-depth understanding of their featured exhibits and participation, and held on-site exchanges with company representatives.
