Three National Standards for Sewing Machinery Approved for Project Launch

Recently, the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) issued the 6th batch of recommended national standard projects and related foreign language edition plans for 2025 (Document No. [2025] 34). Among them, three national standards submitted by the National Technical Committee on Sewing Machinery Standardization have been officially approved for project initiation, including the Test Method for Sewing Thickness Capability of Sewing Machines. The project details are as follows:

These newly approved projects are all revision-based standards, aimed at proactively addressing the industry's evolving technologies and shifting market demands. The implementation of these projects is expected to consolidate and optimize relevant testing methods, improve safety specifications and control system requirements, and comprehensively enhance the quality, safety, and technological innovation capabilities of sewing machinery products. These efforts will provide strong support for improving the sewing machinery standard system, promoting industrial upgrading, and strengthening international competitiveness.
According to national regulations, the development and revision of the above three national standards will strictly adhere to the principles of fairness, openness, transparency, and full consultation.
