Chinese Companies Showing Their Products at GTB2024 Exhibition

GTB2024 was held at the Bashundhara International Convention Center in the capital of Bangladesh from January 11 to 14. This exhibition has nearly 200 exhibitors, an exhibition area of nearly 10,000 square meters, and nearly 20,000 professional visitors. Bangladesh is the world's second largest textile and apparel exporter, after China. In 2023, when major consumer markets such as the United States and EU are disturbed by unfavorable factors such as inflation and interest rate increases, and residents' willingness to consume is insufficient, Bangladesh's ready-made garment exports has reached to US$47.39 billion, a growth of 3.67% against all the odds, BGMEA is optimistic about the outlook for 2024. The textile and garment industry is the backbone of Bangladesh's national economy and has a huge demand for sewing machinery. Chinese sewing companies are competing to explore Bangladesh through overseas exhibitions.
