CSMA CNC Subcommittee Holds Its 2026 Annual Work Meeting

On July 14, the 2026 Annual Work Meeting of the CNC Subcommittee of the China Sewing Machinery Association was held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. More than 20 representatives, including Chen Ji, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Sewing Machinery Association and Chairman of the CNC Subcommittee, as well as members of the CNC Subcommittee, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Xu Dong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association and Director of the CNC Subcommittee Office.

At the meeting, Xu Dong delivered the subcommittee's annual work report. Over the past year, closely following the overarching goals of high-quality industry development and intelligent upgrading, the subcommittee steadily strengthened its own development by carrying out industry statistical analysis, enhancing talent development, promoting industry standardization, and effectively undertaking special assignments entrusted by the Association. Looking ahead, the subcommittee will further focus on intelligent technology innovation and industrial chain collaboration, contributing to the industry's development to a higher level.

Guo Han, Secretary-General of the Subcommittee on Electrical Systems for Sewing Machinery, provided guidance and interpretation on the newly issued mandatory national standard GB 46038-2025, Safety Requirements for Electrical Equipment and Systems of Industrial Machinery, with a particular focus on explaining the differences between the new standard and the provisions and relevant requirements of existing standards.

Participants engaged in extensive exchanges and shared their views on topics including the current development trends of the CNC sector of the sewing machinery industry, the establishment of an orderly market competition environment, industrial chain collaboration, and industry standardization. The meeting also explored potential technological development pathways, including the deeper integration of artificial intelligence with the industry, accelerating the configurable and bus-based upgrading of CNC systems for sewing machinery, and supporting users in carrying out secondary development.

In his concluding remarks, Chen Ji fully recognized the achievements made by the CNC Subcommittee and the industry over the past year. He noted that the industry has now entered a critical period of transformation. Enterprises should closely align themselves with the key development tasks of the industry's 15th Five-Year Plan, use the accelerated integration of intelligent information technologies and digital transformation as key drivers, build a modern industrial system, and develop new competitive advantages for the industry in the international market.

Chen Ji called on members to focus on three priorities. First, they should accelerate enterprise transformation and upgrade from traditional manufacturers of electronic and electrical control components to modern specialized digital service enterprises. Second, they should accelerate the exploration of end-user needs and build innovation, R&D, production, and manufacturing systems centered on end users in sectors such as apparel and home textiles. Third, they should accelerate the integration of industrial technologies, actively participate in the country's new digital industrial ecosystem, and strengthen technological mapping and integrated innovation in areas such as sewing-specific algorithms, databases, and toolkits, thereby injecting sustained momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.

During the meeting, the participating representatives also visited the production facilities of Raynen Technology for a study tour.
