Annual Increase of 790 Granted Invention Patents: Sewing Machine Patents Show Steady Growth in 2024

According to statistics from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), a total of 6,367 patents were filed in China’s sewing machinery industry in 2024 (based on the publication date)， among them, invention patent applications accounted for 1,001 cases (15.7%), utility model patents accounted for 3,691 cases (58%), and design patents accounted for 885 cases (13.9%, including textile machinery products).
Over 2024, 790 invention patents were granted, leading enterprises such as Supreme, Esquel, Jack, Zoje, and Promaker demonstrated strong innovation momentum, making significant efforts in patent portfolio development, intellectual property protection, and the commercialization of innovative achievements. This robust activity highlights the continuous improvement of the industry’s intellectual property-centered technology innovation system, injecting new vitality into building a new development paradigm and fostering high-quality productivity in the sector.
